MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Kaira! I’m an astrology loving, sage burning, NYC based licensed psychotherapist and psychedelic guide.

More than anything, I’m here to help you unlearn the rules you were told you had to follow. For so many of us in BIPOC and Immigrant Communities, we’ve been taught that being "good" means being self sacrificing, people pleasing, and following a societal script that doesn't actually fit who we are. I help you peel back those layers of programming so you can finally step into your most authentic, fullest life.

I believe that real transformation isn't just about looking at what happened to us, it’s about reclaiming our power. It’s about dismantling those limiting beliefs and the "shoulds" we’ve carried for years to make room for who we actually want to be. Together, we work to find your voice underneath all that noise, helping you live with a true sense of awareness and unapologetic confidence.

I support BIPOC folks and Adult Children Of Immigrants throughout New York through virtual therapy and Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy. Let’s stop living for everyone else and start living for you.

  • Therapy is different for everyone. Some people prefer short-term therapy while others prefer long-term ongoing therapy. I will meet you where you are comfortable at. I recommend committing to at least 8-12 sessions to see progress. Before starting therapy, you will need to sign informed-consent documents and complete a short in-take assessment. The initial session will go over over your specific goals and objectives for therapy. Therapy does not guarantee anything, but the goal is to promote change.

  • No, unfortunately. I am licensed in New York only and cannot provide online therapy to clients who live outside of New York. However, I do Life Coaching Sessions for anyone worldwide.

  • The cancellation policy requires 48 hours advanced notice. Appointments cancelled with less notice will incur the rate of an entire session fee.

  • I am not currently taking insurance and am only private pay at this time. I can provide a "superbill" or receipt that you can submit to your insurance to ask for reimbursement. All first-time initial sessions are $250. Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes for $220/sessions or 30 minutes for $150/session (for long-term clients). I currently do not have any openings for sliding scale clients. See services and pricing here

  • Yes, individuals who are not current clients can still undergo Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) with us. To initiate the process, interested individuals would need to go through our initial assessment at Journey Clinical. This assessment helps us ensure that PAP is a suitable and safe therapeutic option for you. Once the assessment is complete, we can discuss the possibility of proceeding with Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions. Our commitment is to provide a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to support your mental health and well-being, even if you are not an existing client.

  • For regular therapy sessions, initial sessions are 60 minutes. Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes long. I also offer 30 minute sessions for long-term clients. Clinical supervision sessions are either 30 minute or 60 minutes. For an in-person Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) session, from start to finish, encompasses approximately 3 hours.

  • I also offer Reiki sessions, Kambo ceremonies, workplace workshops, and retreat facilitation. My approach is to create supportive spaces where you can find balance, connect with your true self, and embark on a journey of transformation. Whether in the workplace, through immersive retreats, or personalized healing sessions, I’m here to guide you toward greater well-being and fulfillment.

  • Kambo is a traditional medicine from the secretion of the Giant Monkey Tree Frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor) native to the Amazon. It involves applying the secretion to small skin burns to introduce bioactive compounds into the bloodstream. Used by indigenous tribes for centuries, kambo aims to purge toxins, enhance performance, and treat ailments. Effects may include physical cleansing, emotional release, and altered consciousness. The secretion has peptides with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relief properties.

  • If you are ready to start, schedule a free 15 minute consultation with me here.
